- Passienter med hemorroider ble enten behandlet med KilRoid™ eller et Barron-Mc Givney flergangs ligaturinstrument.
- 179 pasienter med hemorroider av grad 2 eller 3 ble behandlet med 479 strikkligaturer.
Resultater
- Forfatterens konklusjon:The cost-safety ratio is better with KilRoid™, because it protects the patient, the operator and the nursing staff from unwanted infections(One treatment with Barron costs 19.560 ITL and with KilRoid™ 21.200 ITL)
- Etter 6 måneders oppfølging var det ingen forskjell mht tilbakefall eller komplikasjoner.
